Closing of the Salmon Season

Patrons and Staff of the Kenmore Hotel , Kenmore x

The Nicola Murray Foundation are extremely grateful to the Kenmore Hotel and its owner ,Mr Malcolm Flinn , for suggesting that we be one of the lucky recipients of the fundraising that goes on there each year.

Already generously donating to several other charities , to be included here at this event has provided a brilliant boost in funds.

In turn , the foundation has been able to more quickly set up a fund with Edinburgh University and therefore begin to fund research this year.

In addition to the opening of the salmon season on the River Tay, The Kenmore Hotel (www.kenmorehotel.com) also organises the annual closing of the River Tay salmon season on 16th October each year. It has been staged at Kenmore since 1947 and in recent years they have held a charitable auction, with all funds raised being distributed to local and national charities. In addition to the Nicola Murray Foundation, funds are also raised for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS - www.chas.org.uk) and Angling For Youth Development (AFYD - www.afyd.co.uk).

We thank the patrons of the Kenmore Hotel, and particularly the patrons of this event, for their continued support.
