Eastwood at the Carnegie Hall

Thankyou Eastwood and Friends!

Eastwoods debut gig on Friday 7th June 2013 , was a truly wonderful night of music , song , laughter and tears.

The near 500 strong crowd were treated to a showcase of Eastwood's new album ' Try My Best.'  and some great banter from the band . Throw in  a couple of dedicated cover versions  and a trio of fantastic support acts  from the local area  , and the night was complete.

The night began with support acts Camille Davison  , The Johnstone Flood and young Dunfermline band 'People ,Places, Maps.' They all certainly added to the excellent line up of talented musicians!

Eastwood , a 5 piece band , were led by George Murray on vocals and guitar ,  Ali Fergusson on Lead Guitar , Stuart Henderson on drums and percussion , Liam Saunders on piano and keyboards and Gil Allan on bass . They were  accompanied by 3 accomplished  backing singers , Arlene Davison, Kim Shepherd and Callum Rickard and it was a lovely  surprise to see the band  joined by a brass section , arranged by Eliot Murray , George's brother,  which added to a great night of entertainment to a packed venue.

A pink guitar was kindly donated by Kenny's Music Store in Dunfermline and was raffled on the night on bvehalf of the two charities benefitting from the gig.

Many , many thanks to all the bands and their teams , who gave of their time and energy into making the concert such a success and for donating the proceeds of the ticket and album sales to the two charities being represented on the night , Sarcoma UK (on behalf of Ruth Henderson) and ourselves , The Nicola Murray Foundation.
